Invasive plants like Bitou Bush, Watsonia, and Buffalo Grass threaten native ecosystems at Forresters Beach. Through our Landcare project, we removed harmful species and learned about their impacts. Managing invasives is vital for biodiversity and I really enjoyed working on this hands-on, community-driven project for positive change.

Care4Coast is a local volunteer-run organisation supporting people in crisis with food, clothing, and care. Started by Carly Pal after the 2019 bushfires, it continues to make a real difference. Volunteering with them showed me the power of community, kindness, and connection—one conversation, and one footy card, at a time.
